Birth Stones
A stone associated with your birth month is a Birth Stone. There doesn't seem to be any particular significance associated with the link between the stone and the month. We use the Modern Birth Stones today, but other lists of Birth Stones have been used throughout history.
• The list of Modern Birth Stones was adopted by the American National Association of Jewelers in 1912 is the one that is traditionally accepted in the United States and many other parts of the world.
